Kindergarten - 6th Grade

Troy Christian Elementary consists of Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our elementary program provides a strong foundation in bible, reading, writing, math, science, and history/social studies, along with a rich technology emphasis and extra-curricular interests.

Classrooms

Our classroom sizes average 18-20 students per classroom. Our teachers strive to build relationships with our students, challenging them to grow both spiritually and academically.  In the younger classrooms we provide an additional aide based on class size in order to allow for more individualized instruction.

“R2G2” is a term you will hear often throughout our building. “Respect, Responsibility, Gratitude, Genuineness”. These are core values that are taught at each grade level and encouraged in students to live out.

Curriculum

Our school curriculum is standards-based with an integrated Christian worldview. Critical thinking and problem solving are emphasized across all subject areas and grade levels.

Bible and character development are taught in the classroom daily. Art, physical education, music, band or choir are a part of each child’s week.

Science, math, and technology integrates advanced concepts using the latest S.T.E.M. curriculum, equipment, and hands-on learning experiences utilizing iPads, Chromebooks, LEGOS, and Vex Robotics kits.

Technology is utilized in all grade levels for instruction in typing, coding, problem solving, research projects, and internet safety.

Athletics, extracurricular subjects, weekly chapel, and field trips provide academic, physical and leadership development opportunities.
