Troy Christian district policy gives high school students (9th -12th) who complete two (2) seasons of school sponsored athletics, marching band or cheerleading the option of waiving the physical education requirement for graduation.
It is important to know that students will not receive credit for these activities and will still need all the required credits for graduation. With this option students must take another half credit in another course of study in the place of physical education classes, an additional half credit (.50).
If you feel your student will be committed to completing two seasons of interscholastic athletics, marching band, or cheerleading and would like to drop physical education from his/her schedule, please contact the high school guidance department.
This policy will be in effect for the school year (2010-2011) and following.
