Elementary Baseball Teams

The Troy Christian 10U elementary baseball team was selected as the Midwest Ohio Baseball League “Sportsmanship Award” winners for the 2011 season. Our team was chosen from over 200 teams participating in the league in all ages. The league selected the TC Eagles based on feedback from umpires and opposing coaches on how we played the game, respected the umpires and opponents, our hustle and effort, and the fun we displayed throughout the season. The team received their medals at a league outing at a Dayton Dragons game this summer. Members of the team include: Austin B., Drew E., Izaak F., Will G., Tristan M., Connor P., Jake R., Charlie W., and Jacob W.  Way to go Eagles!

The Troy Christian 12U baseball teams had very successful 2011 seasons. Due to the large number of boys wanting to play baseball for their school, we were able to field two 12U teams this year. One team finished in third place in the Midwest Ohio League. Their season also included winning their pool in the “Dash for Cash” tournament held in Dayton at the end of April and a fifth place finish in the “Greenville Summer Baseball Bash”. A second team participated in the Stillwater League and finished league play with a 10 – 4 record. The Stillwater club also had a very strong outing in the “Emmanuel Christian Academy Summer Bash” tournament at the end of June. The combined record of both teams in league and tournament play was 25 – 18. 12U players include: James A., Jacob B., Milan B., Jacob C., Matt C., Cameron D., Peyton F., Alex H., Paxon H., Connor J., Sam K., Tyler L., Matt M., Noah O., Ben S., Jon S., Peyton S., & Seth W.  Great job Eagles!

Eagles Baseball will be fielding teams for the following ages in 2012: 13U (13 & 12 year olds), 11U (11 & 10 year olds), and 9U (9 & 8 year olds). If your son is interested in playing baseball with their TC friends next year, please contact Joel Wynne at 937.356.9420. We are also looking for coaches for the 9U age group. There will be an informational meeting this fall – look for more information to follow.
